THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on February 14, 1984 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Introducing Ordinance No. 8 - Providing For Amendments Of Section 3.3 Of Ordinance No. 1 Concerning Requirements For Connecting To The Sewer System And Setting A Public Hearing. The Contra Costa County Public Works Director, as Engineer ex officio of Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 15, reports that the District Citizen Advisory Committee has reviewed the current requirements for sewer connec- tion, and recommends that the Board of Supervisors, as governing body of Contra Costa County Sanitation District No. 15, increase the distance requirement and point of measurement so that all habitable buildings on parcels with property lines within 300 feet of a sewer line, must connect to the sewer system. This recommendation was made as a part of the Sanitation District No. 15 Sewer Enforcement Program. The goal of this effort is complete enforcement of sewer connection regulations and of Order No. 72-125 of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board which prohibits use of septic tanks in Sanitation District No. 15. On this date, the Board introduced this Ordinance No. 8 entitled "An Ordinance Providing For Amendment Of Section 3.3 of Ordinance No. 1, concerning requirements for connecting to the sewer system." IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that a public .meeting to consider oral and written objections and/or comments concerning Ordinance No. 8 be held on February 28, 1984, at 10:30 A.M. in the Board ' s chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California.
