HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09102004 - 71-555 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Changes } of the Assessment Roll. ) RESOLUTION NO. 711555 of Contra Costa County } WHEREAS, the County Assessor having filed with this Board requests for correction of erroneous assessments, said requests having been consented to by the Bi iet-A+tovfrey; County Counsel; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Auditor is authorized to correct the following assessments: For the Fiscal Year 19{(31- 19V-72 It has been ascertained from the assessment roll and from papers 'in the Assessor's office ghat was intended and what should have been assessed, and, therefore, pursuant to the Revenue and Taxation Code, Section 4831, the following defects in description and/or 'form and clerical errors of the assessor on the roll should d be corrected as follows: In Code Area 11017, Parcel No. 411-452-408, assessed to Harry Heim and Maria Preston, is 'erroneously enrolled with Improve- ment Value of $1,04€3, due to clerical error in entering the Land value as both the land and improvement value on the building record. This assessment should be corrected to remove the Improvement value, leaving only the Land value of $1,040. In Code Area 12058 , Parcel No. 150--101-012`, assessed to Herman D. & Annette Cofer, is erroneously entered with Personal Property value of $1;',095due to the fact a. copying machine was assessed to both the lessee and lesser. This assessment should be corrected to 'read; Personal Property $1,025 , with no change in Land or Im.prove- ment Value, Braking a new total Assessed Value of $12 ,700. In Code Area 1.4802, Parcel No. 232--452--411, assessed to Western Title Guaranty Co. , is erroneously assessed with Land value of $1,560 due to basing such assessment on incorrect information indi- cating property was a building site. Prior to the lien date, such property became la road right-of-way. This assessment should be corrected to read: Land $400.
