HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09102004 - 71-520 IN THE BOARD OF 'SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Application } for Continued Funding of the } RESOLUTION NO. 71/520 Countywide Drug Abuse Program. } } WHEREAS the County of Contra Costa, California has received funds in the amount of $68,196 through. the Omnibus Crime Control. and Safe Streets Act of 1966 admnistered by the California Council on Criminal Justice to fund the initial phase of the Countywide Drug Abuse Program during the period September 1, 1971 through December 31, 1971; and WHEREAS the County of Contra Costa desires to continue said program upon expiration of the initial program grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that James P. Kenny, Chair- man of the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, is AUTHORIZED to submit an application for grant for law enforcement purposes to the California Council on Criminal. Justice for its consideration for funding of the Countywide Drug Abuse Program during the period January 1, 1972 through December 31, 1972; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the California Council. on Criminal Justice consents to fund the project, James P. Kenny, Chairman of the Beard of Supervisors, is AUTHORIZED to execute can behalf of Contra Costa, County, California the contract for the grant for law enforcement purposes; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide the required matching funds to said project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grunt funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement expenditures. PASSED and ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1971 by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors A. M. Dias, J. E. Moriarty, W. N. Boggess, E. A. Linscheid, J. P. Kenny. NOES: None.
