CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Award of
Contract for Demolition of
County Building on Camino RESOLUTION NO 71/ 493
Pablo (W/o 4434) and El Toyonal
(W/o 4457) , Orinda Area.
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
On July 13, 1971, this Board passed and adopted Resolution No.
71/447, determining that the property described in the Notice
to Bidders attached thereto was no longer needed for County
purposes and authorized the County Right of Way Agent to receive
proposals for its demolition and removal from County-owned real
property.
The Notice to Bidders was posted as required by law, in accordance
with said Resolution No. 71/447, and the following bids were re-
ceived and opened pursuant to the said Notice to Bidders :

1. K.T.K. Wrecking Co. $ 3,650.00
2 . Henley Demolition and Excavating, Inc . 4 ,200.00
3. Bay Cities Demolition, Inc. 5,250-00
4. Knapp Excavators ', Inc. 5,395.00
5. Joseph D. Ballinger and Co. 51700-00
6. Heim Bros. , Inc. 5,800.00
The lowest responsible bid received is accepted, and the contract
is hereby awarded to K.T.K. Wrecking Co. , in the amount of $3,650-00.
Of this figure, $1,000 is to be allocated to W/o 4457, and the
balance ($2,650) to W10 4434 .
The County Right of Way Agent is hereby authorized to return the bid
guarantees to the unsuccessful bidders .
Further;, the Chairman of the >Board is authorized to execute an
appropriate demolition contract with the successful bidder.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on August 3, 1971, by this Board.
