RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR CHANGE IN ORGANIZATION TO
ANNEX SUBDIVISION 4107 (East Walnut Creek Area) TO COUNTY SERVICE
AREA L-45
The Board. of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT.
Change in organization by annexation of Subdivision 4107
(East Walnut Creek Area) to County Service Area L--45 has been
proposed by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. Reso-
lution of application for the proposed annexation of Subdivision
4107 to the County Service Area L-45 was filed by the Board of
Supervisors with the Executive Officer of the Local. Agency Forma-
tion Commission on ,Tune 22 , 1971. The reason for such proposed
annexation Is to provide the said territory with street lighting
services .
On July 7,0 1971. the Local. Agency Formation Commission,
approved the resolution' of application for the annexation' of
Subdivision 4107 to County Service Area L-45 without condition,
declared the territory proposed. to be annexed as un1r abited, and
assigned the proposal designation as "Subdivision 4107 Annexation
to County Service Area L-49 . " Tie exterior boundaries of the
territory proposed: to be annexed are as described in Exhibit "A" ,
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein.
At 10: 40 -a.m. on Tuesday, September 7., 1971,; in the Chambers
of the Board of Supervisors ,, Administration Building, Martinez,
California, this Board will conduct apublic hearingon the nro-
posed annexation. At the hearing the testimony of all interested
persons or 'taxpayers for or against the proposed annexation will be
Y.e:ard, and any interested persons desiring to make wr tt een protest
thereto must do so by written communication filed with the Clerk
before the hearing. A written protest by an owner of land: must
contain a description sufficient to indentify his land, and a
written protest by a voter must contain his residential address .

At the conclusion of the hearing, the ?hoard of Supervisors
shall either disapprove the proposed annexation or order the
annexation in accordance with Government Code §;556320 through
5-6<22.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish the
text of this resolution once a week for two successive week's in.
the "Contra Costa Times" , a newspaper of general circulation.

The Cleric of this Board is also directed'' to Oast the text of this
resolution on the bulletin board of this Board at least fifteen
(15) days prier to the nearing date and such posting will continue
to the time of the hearing.
The Clerk of this Board is further directed to give notice
by mailing notice of hearing at least fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to all persons and counties', cities , or
districts, 'which shall have theretofore filed a written request
for special notice with the Clerk of this Board.
