HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09102004 - 71-320 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTYSTATE OF CALIFORNIA Resolution and Notice of Intention to Sell County Property leased by Orinda Community Center for } RESOLUTION NO. 71/X20 recreation center under County } Service Area, LIB,-B'. } The Board of >Supervisors of Contra Costa CountyRESOLVES THAT: On April 7, 1970 this Beard approved the Lease Agreement' between Contra Costa County and Orinda Community Center Corpora- tion, a California non-profit corporation as Lessee, to maintain and operate certain County-owned real property described therein, for a community center as recreational facilities under the County Service Area LIB--8 Said Lessee (Orinda Community Center) and its sponsor (the Orinda Association') advised the County Adminis- trator, who informed this Board, that the property located at 20 Avenida de Orinda at Orinda, California,` acquired for'' recrea- tional community center under County Service Area LIB -8 is no longer suitable for County' purposes , and recommends that said property described in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be sold in accordance with Section 25520, et seq. , of the Government Code, as required by law. This Board declares its intention to sell the above property (said Service Area LIB--B) for and on behalf of the Contra Costa County under the terms and conditions contained in .the Notice attached hereto and made a part hereof. The minimum price for said real property is Seventy-.-two Thousand Five hundred Dollars ($72,,500.) ; and the minimum bid'' deposit shall be Seven Thousand Two Hundred-Fifty Dollars ($7250. ) The terms and conditions set forth in the Notice to Bidders as prepared by the County Fight' of Way ,Agent are hereby approved. This Board sets Tuesday , the 22nd day of Tune , 1971 , at 11:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Administra- tion Building, ? artine,z, California, as the time and place for a public meeting; of said Board where sealed proposals and auction bids shall be received and considered. The Clerk of this Board is directed to cause the notice' of the adoption of this resolution and of the time and place of holding said public meeting to be given by publishing said notice, pursuant to Government Cade §6063, in the "Contra Costa Times" , a newspaper of general circulation published in said County,, and by posting notices of said resolution signed by the Chairman of this Board,; in three (3) public places in the County, as follows : -1- RESOLUTION NO. 71/320 1. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL REAL PROPERTY (Old Orinda Fire Station) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, State of Califronia, has , on the 13th day of May, 1971, in regular meeting, adopted a resolution by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of all, of its members , declaring its intention to sell for the Contra Costa County the real ,property'' and improvements, farmer fire station located at '20 Avenida de Orinda, Orinda, California as described therein:. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that it is proposed to sell said property consisting of approximately 15,000 square feet of land and a 2-story building formerly used;. as a fire station, to the highest' bidder; that the minimum price for said property is to be the sum of Seventy two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($72,500) ; that Tuesday, the 22nd day of June, 1971, at 11.00 a.m. of said day, in the Chambers of the Beard or Supervisors ,, Administration Building, Martinez, California, has been fixed as the time and place when said Board of Supervisors will receive and consider sealedproposals accompanied with a minimum Seven Thousand Two Hundred fifty Dollars ($;250. ) bid deposit to pur- chase said property.
