The Board of >Supervisors of Contra Costa CountyRESOLVES THAT:
On April 7, 1970 this Beard approved the Lease Agreement'
between Contra Costa County and Orinda Community Center Corpora-
tion, a California non-profit corporation as Lessee, to maintain
and operate certain County-owned real property described therein,
for a community center as recreational facilities under the County
Service Area LIB--8 Said Lessee (Orinda Community Center) and
its sponsor (the Orinda Association') advised the County Adminis-
trator, who informed this Board, that the property located at
20 Avenida de Orinda at Orinda, California,` acquired for'' recrea-
tional community center under County Service Area LIB -8 is no
longer suitable for County' purposes , and recommends that said
property described in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, be sold in accordance with Section 25520, et
seq. , of the Government Code, as required by law.
This Board declares its intention to sell the above property
(said Service Area LIB--B) for and on behalf of the Contra Costa
County under the terms and conditions contained in .the Notice
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
The minimum price for said real property is Seventy-.-two
Thousand Five hundred Dollars ($72,,500.) ; and the minimum bid'' deposit
shall be Seven Thousand Two Hundred-Fifty Dollars ($7250. )
The terms and conditions set forth in the Notice to Bidders
as prepared by the County Fight' of Way ,Agent are hereby approved.
This Board sets Tuesday , the 22nd day of Tune , 1971 , at
11:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Administra-
tion Building, ? artine,z, California, as the time and place for a
public meeting; of said Board where sealed proposals and auction
bids shall be received and considered.
The Clerk of this Board is directed to cause the notice' of the
adoption of this resolution and of the time and place of holding
said public meeting to be given by publishing said notice, pursuant
to Government Cade §6063, in the "Contra Costa Times" , a newspaper
of general circulation published in said County,, and by posting
notices of said resolution signed by the Chairman of this Board,; in
three (3) public places in the County, as follows :

California, not less than fifteen ('15) days from the date of
said meeting.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on May 18, 1971, by at least two-thirds (2/3)
vote of this Board.

Beginning at the most southerly corner of the 4575 square feet
parcel of land described in Resolution No. 2473, recorded February
18, 1964, Book .4555, Official Records, page .529, thence from said
point of beginning along the southwest line of said parcel, North.
220 03' 05" West, 69.83 feet and forth 190 341 21" West, 43.44 feet
to the most southerly corner of the parcel of land described in the
deed to Leon R. Woolsey, recorded June 10, 1959, Book 3589, Official
Records, page 491; thence North 3C° 8' 19" East, along the south-
east line of said Woolsey parcel, 124.65 feet to the northeast line

Mineral rights reserved in the deed from East Bay Municipal
Utility District, recorded .April 2, 1959, Beek 3347, Official
Records, page 512, as follows :
"Reserving and excepting to the Grantor, and to its successors
or assigns, from the operation of this deed, an undivided one-half
(112) interest in and to all minerals, oil, other hydro-carbons,
gas and all associated substances existing in or on said real pro-
perty herein conveyed and hereinabove described, together with the
right to explore drill for, extract, take from, remove and dispose
of one-half (1/2) of any or all said minerals, oil, ether hydro-
carbons, gas and all associated substances from said real property,
below a depth of five hundred (500) feet from the surface thereof,,
by wells, equipment and means located on the surface of adjacent
.land and extended into said real property herein conveyed and
hereinabove described at a point or points below a depth of five
hundred (500) feet from the surface of said real 'property.
2. As to that portion of Lots 15 and 16, Official Map of
Orinda Townsite, lying within the parcel of land described in the

3. Excepting and reserving unto the County of Contra Costa,
its 'successors and assigns, any and all rights of ingress to and
egress from the land herein conveyed to the abutting Freeway known
as Camino Diablo, over and across the westerly boundary line
thereof; and an easement for highway slopes and drainage purposes
in, over and across the portion of the above, described as follows :
Beginning at the point of beginning of the above described
parcel of land; thence aloe the westerly and northwesterly boundary

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
(Old Orinda Fire Station)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Contra Costa, State of Califronia, has , on the 13th day of
May, 1971, in regular meeting, adopted a resolution by a two-thirds
(2/3) vote of all, of its members , declaring its intention to sell for
the Contra Costa County the real ,property'' and improvements, farmer
fire station located at '20 Avenida de Orinda, Orinda, California as
described therein:.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that it is proposed to sell said
property consisting of approximately 15,000 square feet of land and
a 2-story building formerly used;. as a fire station, to the highest'
bidder; that the minimum price for said property is to be the sum of
Seventy two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($72,500) ; that Tuesday, the
22nd day of June, 1971, at 11.00 a.m. of said day, in the Chambers of
the Beard or Supervisors ,, Administration Building, Martinez, California,
has been fixed as the time and place when said Board of Supervisors
will receive and consider sealedproposals accompanied with a minimum
Seven Thousand Two Hundred fifty Dollars ($;250. ) bid deposit to pur-
chase said property.
Terms and; conditions for the sale , bid forms , and specific de-
scription of the property will be furnished by the County Right of
Way Agent, Fifth Floor, County Administration Building, Martinez,,
California, (Phone 228--3000) , on , application.
At the time set for the opening of bids , any _person present may
offer orally to increase the amount of the highest written bid by at
least five percent (5%) and to continue thereafter to bid orally in
any amount until the highest oral bid is finally accepted .
