Police and. Fire } Employees . } WHEREAS the Board has this day been apprised of the contents of Senate Bill 333; and Senate Bill 333 would establish a separate employee relations act for local police and fire employees and would include previsions for compulsory binding arbitration; and 14HEREAS legislation providing for employer-employee relations should be applicable uniformly to all local agency employees and WHEREAS a provision in Senate Bill 333 providing for compulsory binding arbitration is particularly objectionable for it is 'likely to make it more difficult, or impossible, for management representatives to reach agreement with employee representatives through the process of meeting and conferring in good faith; and WHEREAS Senate Bill 333 has ether objectionable features; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Beard of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa OPPOSES Senate Bill 333; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to Governor Ronald Reagsno Senator John. A. Nejadly, .Assemblyman John T. Knox, Assemblyman James W. Dent, and to the County Supervisors Association of California. PASSED and ADOPTED this lith day of May, 1971 by the fallowing vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors A. M. Dias, W. N. Boggess, J. P. Kenny. NOES: None. ABSENT: Supervisors J. E. Moriarty, E. A.
