HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09102004 - 71-288 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STAT OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Funding } Procedure for TOPICS RESOLUTION NO. 71/288 Projects. WHEREAS the County Supervisors Association of California has transmitted to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors a resolu- tion pertaining' to the traffic operations program to increase capacity and safety (TOP2'CS), said resolution having been passed and adopted by the axecutive Committee of the Metropolitan Transportation Engineering Board of Southern California; and WHEREAS said resolution has been adopted by the County Supervisors Association of California at its Meeting on March 191 1971; and WHEREAS said resolution summarizes the problems encountered by most of the cities and counties in California in attempting to utilize the available Federal TOPICSfunds and recommends a solution to these problems; and. WHEREAS Contra Costa County has experienced these same, dif- ficulties and the Public Works Director, the Contra Costa County Highway, Advisory Committee and the Publics Works Committee of the 1971 Grand Jury have separately indicated to the Board of Supervisors their concurrence in the recommendations of said resolution, NoW;, TM t ORM, BE IT BY TER BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA 00-M ITY RESOLVED that it concurs in all of the findings and recommendations in aforesaid resolution and directs the Clerk to forward copies of this resolution to Congressman Jerome R. Waldie, Senator John A. Ne jedly, Assemblyman James W. Bent and Assemblyman John T Knox. PASSES AND ADOPTED on April 27, 1971 by the fallowing vote: Ate: Supervisors A. M. Bias, J. E. Moriarty, W. N. Boggeass, B. A. Linscheid, J. P. Kenny. NOES*. None. ABSENT: None. RESOLUTION NO. 71/288
