WHEREAS this Board on September 1.5, 19703 adopted Resolution
Number 701587 providing for the allocation to East Bay Regional
Park District of the balance of funds ($26,3010) available to
Contra Costa County from the State Beach, Park, Recreational and
Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1964; and
WHEREAS in said resolution it was specified that said fund
balance be utilized to acquire additional lands for the
Las Trampas Regional Park along with such federal funds as it was
practicable to obtain; and
WHEREAS this Board on September 22, 1970 adopted Resolution
Number 70/611 amending Resolution Dumber 70/5$7 to provide that the
East Bay Regional Park District might utilize aforesaid allocation
for development work at the Lae Trampas Regional Park with the
understanding that efforts be made to obtain federal matching funds
to the maximum extent practicable; and
WHEREAS this Board has received a copy of Resolution Number
3686 adopted on March 16, 1971 by the East Bay Regional Park
District Board of Directors requesting this Board to rescind its
Resolution Number 70/611 thereby permitting utilization of the
$26,300 ,State Bond allocation for land acquisition in Las Trampas
Regional Park as set forth in its original Resolution Number 70,/587
approved on September 1 , 1970 and as permitted by a policy
exception change made by the State .Department of Parks and Recreation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that the request of
the East Bay Regional Park District Board of Directors is APPROVED
and Resolution Number 70/611 is RESCINDED.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 1971 by the
following vote of the Board :
AYES. Supervisrs A . M. Dias, J . E. Moriarty,
W. N. Boggess, E. A. Li,nscheid, J . P. Kenny.
