RESOLUTION 'INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR CHANCE IN
ORGANIZATION TO 'ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY IN THE SAN
RAMON AREA TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA L-45
`1''he Board of Supervisors of Contra. Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Change in organization by annexation of certain territory
in the San Ramon Area to County Service Area L--45 has been pro-
posed by the representative of the owner of said parcel . Resolu-
tion of application for the proposed annexation of the Shell parcel
to County Service Area L-45 was 'filed by the representative of the
owner with the 'Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation
Commission on August 3, 1970. The reason for such proposed an-
nexation is to provide the said territory with street lighting
services .
On September 2, 1970 ,, the Local Agency Formation Commission
approved the resolution of application for the annexation of the
Shell parcel to County Service Area L-45',' without 'condition, de-
clared the
e_clared' the territory proposed to be annexed as uninhabited and
assigned the proposal designation as "Shell Annexation to County
Service Area L-45" . The exterior boundaries of the territory pro-
posed to be annexed are as described In Exhibit '"A'r, attached hereto
and by reference incorporated herein'.
At 10t0G a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 1970, in the Chambers
of the Board of Supervisors, Administration Building, Martinez, '
California, this Board will conduct a public hearing on the pro-
posed annexation. At the hearing the testimony of all interested
persons or taxpayers for or against the proposed annexation will
be heard, and any interested person desiring to make written pro-
test thereto must do so by written communication filed with the
Clerk before the hearing. A written protest by an owner of lend
must contain a description sufficient to identify his land, and a
written protest by a voter must 'contain 'his residential address. '
At the conclusion of the hearing, ', the, Board of Supervisors
shall either disapprove the proposed annexation or order the
annexation in accordance with Government Code Sections 56320
through 56322.

The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish the
text of this resolution once a weeks for two successive weeks in
the "Valley Pioneer" , a newspaper of general circulation published
in this County and >circulated in the territory wherein the pro-
posed annexation is situated, the first publication to be made not
later than fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date. The Clerk
of this Board is also directed to past the text of this resolution
on the bulletin board of this Board at leastfifteen (15)` days
prior ,to the hearing date and such posting will continue to the
time 'of the hearing.
Thi, Clerk of this Board is farther directed to give notice
by mailing notice of hearing at least fifteen (1 5) days prior to
the hearing date to all'' peraons and counties; cities or districts,
which shall have theretofore filed a written'' request for special
notice with the Clerk of this Board'.
