CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of the 1974 � RESOLUTION NUMBER 70/548United Bay Area Crusade.
4HEREAS' the United Bay Area Crusade is about to begin its 1974
campaign for funds, and
WHEREAS the crusade ;will, if successfully conducted, provide
financing for _a large >number of community organizations having exteemely
desirable objectives; and
101EREAS 'these objectives include such commendable purposes as
the prevention of illness, indigene, and delinquency, and aid to the
sick and needy; and
WHEREAS employees of Contra Costa County and other governmental
entities within the county have been requested to participate actively in
the 1970 ;campaign of the United Bay Area Crusade and contribute to the
funds which the Crusade uses to support financially community organiza»
tions'; and
WHEREAS ,this Board of Supervisors heartily endorses the work
of the United Bay Area Crusade,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that Director sof
Personnel F. E. Emery is designated as Chairman for the Crusade campaign
among county employees; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Thomas J. Coll, Chairman, Board of
Supervisors, is designated to serve as Honorary Chairman for' the :1970'
Crusade campaign among all county government employees in Contra Costa
County, pursuant to the request of' the "United Bay Area Crusade organiza-
tion;
rganiza-tion,, and
BE IT FURTHER RFMLVED that all county department heads are
urged to >cooperate with Supervisor Coll and Director of 'Personnel Emery'
by working actively in support of the United Bay Area Crusade; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following <county employees are
appointed to acquaint their fellow employees with the 1970 United Bay
Area Crusade Program and the desirable 'services rendered by the agencies
supported financially by the Crusade:
