WHEEZAS:, the Governing Board. of Sian P.-M Val.lsy Unified School
District (hereinafter <.called the "distric"t") has cab led and ordered
to be held in. the district on TuesdayNovember 3 197G -a special
school district bond election and apportionment ' authoritation election
and has requested the Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa, County to
consent to and the County Superintendent of Schools of Contra Costa
County to ardor a consolidation of said special school district hand
election and apportionment' aut orftation election with the General
Election to be held in Contra Costa County and throughout the
State of California, on Tuesday, November 3, 1970 and has further autho-
rized this Board of Supervisors to ``canvass or cause to be canvassed
the returns of said special school district> bond election and
apportionment authorization election from the territory affected ;by
said ''cons l.idation;

Centra Costa County as follolws
1.. The special school district bond election and apportionment
authorization 'election to he held in San Ramon Valley Unified School
District on Tuesday* November 3 1970 at wh1ch election there shall be
submitted' to the qualifiedx.elettors of said district the measures
hereinafter set forth, to tit;

Shall. the San Ramon Valley Unified School. District of Contra
Costa County incur a :bonded indob.tedness ire the gum of iEight
Million,; Three Hundred Thousand Dellars ($$,3 0,4030) , the
maximum rate of interest not to exceed: 7%,; for the purpose of
raising money for the fallowing purposes Ash are hereby
united and shall ' be voted', upon as one isingle proposition) to wit
1. The purchasing of school Iota.
2. The building or purchasing., of school buildings.
3. The Making of, alterations or additions to the
sche0l building orbuildings rather than such as may be

4. The repairing, restoring or or of

school building daMagad, jInjured, or destroyed by Fire or
other publiccalamity*
5• The supplying of school buildings and j grounds >with'

7. The refuudin of any outstanding valid indebtedness
of the diistrict , evidenced by bonds, or of state school

be held in Contra Costa County;, and throughout the ;Mate of
California, on Tuesday'.. NIovember 3',., 19TO and this Board hereby
consents to said consolidation.
2. The ;returns of said special sehool district bond election
and apportionment authorization election from said territory, affected
by said consolidation shall be canvassed by the' Board ,of Supervisors'

of Contra Costa County in accordance with the request of the
Governing Burd of the district and said consolidated special school
bond election and apportionment authorization election and General
Election shall be held within said territory affected by said
consolidation in all resects as though there sere only one election.
Said measures shall be set forth in each farm of ballot to be used
at said General Election insofar As the same is held within said
territory affected by said consolidation. The returns of said
special school district bond :election analapportionment authorization
election' in said territory, when canvassed, shall be reported by this
Board of Supervisor$ to the Governing Board of the district and to
said County Superintendent cf 'Se opls.
3. The 'County Clerk of said County is hereby; ordered and
directed to provide within said territory affected by said consolidation
the, election 'precincts, pcl.lin,g places and voting booths for each of
said elections hereby :consolidated, which in each case shall: be the
same, and there shall be only ;one set of election officers in each of
said precincts. Said County Clerk is further ordered and directed to
print upon each of the ballots to be used at said General Election
within said territory affected by said consolidation said measures
set forth in Section 1 of this resolution. Said CountyCleric is
further ordered and directed ('1) to set forth on all saxple ballots
relating> to said General Election and to be mailed to the qualified
eledtors of the district within said territory affected,' by said
consolidation said district measures, aria to mail to said quali.flied
electors of the dia3trict in said territory said sample ballots and
also polling 'plaoe cards signed by said County Clerk relating; to

said special school district band election and apportir ent autho-
rization election l' in the time ;and in the form required by law, and
(2) to provide absent voter ballots for said Genera Election and
said special school district bond election and apportionment author-
ization election hereby consolidated therewith for use by the
qualified electors of the (district within said territory affected by
said consolidation who may be 'entitled to such absent voter ballots
in the manner provided by ,',law. The County Clerk is further authorized
to charge to 't the district the additional expense of printing upon
the sample and r rnoial ballots for use in said' territory said
district measures to be submitted to the qualified electors of the
district , and such other incidental expenses asimay> be incurred
solely by reason of this order of consolidation, in» a minimum
amount of $12j.00 for each :precinct' in the said district.
4. Certified copies of this resolution shall be forwarded by
the County Clerk to the Qoverning Board of the district and to the
County Superintendent of : Schools.
