COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Hatter of � Proclaiming Thursday, August 27, 1970 as RESOLUTION NUMBER 70/ 97 "BALL-STAR FOOTBALL } CLASSIC DAY'S � WHEREAS the fifth annual Alameda County versus Centra Cast& County All-Star Football game will be played on Thursday, August 27, 1970 at 8:15 p•m• at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum; and YHEREAS fifty of the finest graduated senior football stars of high schools of Alameda County and Contra Costa County will participate in this event as a prelude to their entering various colleges and universities in September, 1970; and WHEREAS the contest is sponsored by Owens Publications, Inc. and benefits the united Cerebral Palsy of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and the Kiwanis'YouthFoundation; and WHEREAS this contest is becoming a tradition reflecting spirited competition and good sportsmanship among fine young football players and also strong public support for an enjoyable event con- ducted for worthy purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF 'CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED THAT it extends to the sponsors and participating players and coaches its sincere compliments, urges Alameda and Contra. Costa County residents to be present at the game and proclaims August 27, 1970 to be 'BALL-STAR FOOTBALL CLASSIC DAY" . .
