Code 9925210.11, Area } 25214.131 54791. 54792) RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO INITIATE PROCEEDINGS FOR FORMATION OF COUNTY 'SERV'ICE AREA. NO LIS-13 WALNUT CREEK AREA The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: This Board hereby determines that pursuant to the Knox-Nisbet Act (commencing with Section 54773) of the Government Code, it proposes to initiate proceedings for the formation of County Service Area Na. LIB-13. The Hoard has received a written request for such action. This request was submitted by the Friends of the Ygnacio Valley Library, Inc'. in its letter dated July 239 1970, signed by Mrs . Patricia. Heine, President. The exterior boundaries of the area proposed to be formed are as described in Exhitit "A" and as shown in the map labeled as Exhibit "B" , both of which exhibits> are attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein . The reason for this application is to provide the area with extended "Library facilities and services . The proposed County Service Area will consist of portions of the, unincorporated territory of the County and of portions of the Cit»>ies of Concord and Walnut Creek. By Resolution Nu. 4104 dated July b, 1970», the City Council of the City of Concord consented to the inclusion of a portion of said City as set out in said Resolution No. 4104 in the proposed County Service Area. By Resolution No. 2570>, dated July 20, 1970, the City Council of the City of, Walnut Creek endorsed in- principal the formation of the proposed County Service and inclusion of a portion of said City in the proposed County Service Area, and declared its intention to :give consideration to adopting a resolution of consent after Local Agency Formation Commission approval is obtained. LIB-13 be initipted. The persons who are to be furnished with copies of the Executive Officer' s report and who are to be given mailed notice of hearing are Thomas J. Coll, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County,, Mrs . Bertha D. Hellum, County Librarian, and 'Mrs Patricia Heine, President of the Friends of the Ygnacis Valley Library, Inc. The Clerk of this Board is HEREBY DIRECTED to file a certi- fied copy of this Resolution of Application with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission.
