RESOLUTION' INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR
NATAL WEAPONS STATION-CITY OF CONCORD
BOUNDARY REORGANIZATION CONSISTING OF
VARIOUS ANNEXATIONS TO AND DETACHMENTS FROM
AMBR08E RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT,
CONCORD HOSPITAL DISTRICT, PITTSBURG
COMMUNITY HOSPITAL DISTRICT AND
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Naval Weapons Station.-City of Concord Boundary Reorgani-
zation consisting of annexation of 4 parcels to and detachment of
5 parcels from. the Ambrose Recreation and Park District , annexation
of 3 parcels to and detachment of 2 parcels from the Concord, Hospital.
District, annexation of '2 parcels to and detachment of 3 parcels
from the Pittsburg; Community Hospital_ District and the annexation
of ' parcel to the Contra Costa County Water District , has been
proposed by the City of Concord. A resolution of application for
the proposed reorganization was filed' by the City of Concord with
the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission on
Ak?r l 17, 1970. The reason .for the proposed reorganization is so
that the boundaries of the said special districts serving, the City
of Concord will coincide' with the boundaries of the city in this
area.
On duly 1 , 1970, the Local Agency Formation Commission approved
the: application subject to the following terms and conditions
�a) The total territory to ,be detached from and
annexed to the Ambrose ,Recreation and Park
District (5 parcels' to be detached and
parcels to be annexed) is to be as described;
in Exhibit "A" , which is on filo in the office
of the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors.
(b) The total `territory to be detached from and
annexed to the Concord Hospital 'District (2
parcels to be detached and 3 parcels to be
annexed) is to be as described in Exhibit "B" ,,
which is on file in the office of the Clerk of

(c) The total. territory to be detached from and
annexed to the Pittsburg Community Hospital
District (3 parcels to be detached and 2
parcels annexed) is to be as described in
Exhibit "C>." , which is on file in the office
of the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors.
(d) The total territory to be annexed to the
Contra Costa County Mater District (1 parcel)
Is to be as described in Exhibit "D".. which
is on filein the office of the Clerk of this
Board of Supervisors
The Local Agency Formation Commission assigned the proposal
designation as "'Laval Weapons Station-City of Concord Boundary
Reorganization". The subject districts are located entirely within
Contra Costa County. The parcels involved in the said reorgani-
zation are in and about the U. S. Naval Weapons Station and along
the city boundary of Concord ` in that area. A reap showing said
reorganization as well as Exhibits "A", "B ss "C" and "D" are on,,
file with the Clerk, of this Board of Supervisors .
Most of the affected parcels are owned by the U. S. Navy.
Other affected parcels are shown in the records of the Assessor 's
Office as being ''owners by: American Trust Co. and Walter G. Keller,
Trustee, 464 California Street , San Francisco, California 94104
(Assessor's Parcels 094-110-001 and 097-230-002 ) ; 'Alvin and Dorothy
Fari.a, P. C. Bogie 177 , Pittsburg, California 94565 (Assessor' s
Parcels 097-190-002 and 0}7--240-002) and John Ginoch o, Jr. ,
Louis Ginochi.o and Peter Gi.nechic , 2 459 Pacheco Street , Concord.,
California 94520 (Assessor's Parcel 100-330-002),.
At 10 a.m, on Tuesday , August 25, 1970, in the Chambers of
the Board of Supervisors , Administration Building, Martinez , Cali-
fornia, this Board will conduct a public hearing on the proposed;
reorganization. At the hearing the testimony' of all interested
persons or taxpayers for or 'against the proposed reorganization
will be heard. Any 'interested person desiring to make written
pretest against the proposed, reorganization must do so by written
communication riled with the Clerk of the Board not later than the
hour set for hearing. A written protest by a` landowner must
contain a description sufficient to identify ,the Land owned by
him.. A written' protest by a voter must contain the residential
address of such voter.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board of Supervisors
shall either disapprove` the proposed reorganization or order the
reorganization subject to the confirmation of the voters in accord-
ance with Government Code Section 56437.
ahe Clerk of this Hoard is hereby directed to publish the
text o' this resolution once' a week for two successive weeks in
the "Concord Transcript", a newspaper of general circulation
published in this County and circulated in the territory of each

of the districts which ;.would be affected by the proposed reorgani-
zation, the first publication to be made not later than fifteen
(15) dais prior to the hearing date. The Clerk of this Board is
also directed to Post the text of this resolution on the bulletin
board of this Beard at least fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing
date , and such posting will continue to the time of the hearing.
The Clerk of this Board is further directed to give notice by
mailing notice of hearing at least fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing; date to each affected district , each person who has filed
a notice for special notice with the County Clerk, and the chief
petitioners ,
PASSED AND ADOPTED on July 14 , 1970 , by this Board.
