WHEREAS the Centra Costa County Recreation and Natural Resources Commission has been carefully considering a list of sites and buildings which are significant in the history of Contra Costa County and the State of California, for submission to the California Historical Landmarks Advisory Cor=ittee and for possible inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS the Commission has determined that the John Marsh: Home is of substantial historical significance to Contra Costa'' County and the 'State of California and believes strongly that the home should be included in the National Register of Historic Places f and WHEREAS this Board is in full agreement with the Commission; NOW, BEFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF T: COUNTY OF CONTRACOSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. William Penn Mott, Jr Director, Department of Parks and Recreation, State Resources Agency, P. 00 Box 2390, Sacramento, California 9 811 with the request that action be taken by him and the California Historical Landmarks Advisory Committee so that the Jahn Marsh' Home may be included in the National Register of Historic Places . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of June, 1970, by the following vote of the Board. AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenner, A. M. pias, J. E. Moriarty, T. J. Coll. NOBS: None. ABSENT': Supervisor E. A. CO3TA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Fatter of Considering } Inclusion of East Brothers Island Light Station in } RESOLUTION NUMBER 70/381-B National Register of Historic Places. WHEREAS the Centra; Costa County Recreation and Natural Resources Commission has been carefully considering a list of sites and buildings which are significant in the history of Contra Costa County and the State of California for submission to the California Historical Landmarks Advisory Committee and for possible inclusion in the National Register ' of Historic Places; and WHEREAS the Commission is in agreement with the provisions of ;Resolution Number 70/300 which was adopted by the Contra Costa County Board of 'Supervisors on May 19v 1970 and which endorses the position of the City of 'Richmond Planning Commission and other groups on the retention of the East Brothers Island Light Station as an historical landmark; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY €3F CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that espies of its Resolution Number 70/300 and this resolution be forwarded to Mr. William Pena Mott, Jr. , Director, Department of Parks and Recreation, State Resources Agency, P. 0. ; x 2390: Saoramento, California 95811' for appropriate action by him and. the California Historical landmarks Advisory Committee.
