HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08042003 - 70-369 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of SB 1315 and SB 1316 } RESOLUTION NO. 70/369 } WHEREAS the County Welfare Director and the County Administrator advised the Board that SB 1315 and SB '1316, which are receiving the current attention of the California State Legislation, provide for changes which would make ineligible for aid a large number of adult categorical aid recipients ; and WHEREAS said officials further advised, that if the aforesaid bills were enacted into law there would undoubtedly be additional demands upon the County for relief payments frc County funds and an additional burden placed upon property taxpayers; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY RESOLVED that it strongly opposes passage of SB 1315 and SB 1316. BE IT BY TSB BOARD FURTHER. RESOLVED that its representa- tives in the California State Legislature are urged to work vigor- ously to prevent enactment of said bills into lair. PA33ED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of June, 1970, by the following vote of the 'B'oard: AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, A. M. Dias , J. E. Moriarty, T. J. Coll. NOES : None. ABSENT: Supervisor E. A.
