HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08042003 - 70-251 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTrs STATE OF CALIP01RNIA In the Matter of Accepting Apportionment of Federal 3 TOPICS Fund and Proposed � RESOLUTION" NO. 70/251 Di sp o s i tion of Same. } WHZR ;S the legislation which provides for implementation of the Federal Government=s "TOPICS" program in California became effective November 10, 1969; and ERAS the Federal funds available to the State and to local government under this program are to be apportioned to local agen- cies for expenditure within urban areas; and WHEREAS the State Department of Public Works has requested that it be advised prior to June 30, 1970 how the County of Contra Costa proposes to utilize its apportionment of 2969-1970 fiscal year TOPICS fonds; NOW, TRER: RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County accepts its apportionment of the fiscal year 1969-1970 TOPICS funds; and BE IT FORT R RESOLVED that the County of Contra Costa along with all other eligible jurisdictions within the County wishes to accumulate said funds and combine therm, with the 1970-1971 fiscal year apportionment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said funds may be assigned by cooperative agreement to other eligible jurisdictions in Contra Costa County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any assignment of funds will be based on priorities recommended by the City-County Engineering Advisory Committee which is designated as the Coordinating Commit- tee for the TOPICS Program of Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED this ,nth day of May, 1970 by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, E. A. Linscheid, T. J. Coll. NOES: None. ABSENT: Supervisors A. M. Dias, J. E.
