THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on September 23, 1997 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Uilkema, Gerber, Canciamilla, and DeSaulnier

In the Matter of Aligning the Salary )
Range of Certain Classifications With the RESOLUTION NO. 97/495
September 1997 Minimum Wage Rate. )
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors Resolves that:
1. Effective September 1, 1997 the deep class of Student Worker (999E) is allocated to
salary range TB-0600 ($892-$1,825) with the hourly equivalent of the first step set
at $5.15 per hour in accordance with the September 1, 1997 Federal minimum wage
rate.
2. An appointing authority may make a limited term appointment of a Student Worker
at the hourly equivalent of any level in the 30 step salary range. Guidelines for
appointment shall be as indicated. High School enrollment: Steps 1-10;
Community College enrollment or lower division status at a four-year college or
university: Steps 11-20; upper division status or post-graduate university
enrollment: Steps 21-30.
3. Effective September 1, 1997 Private Industry Council Worker Trainee-Project (AV
71) and Private Industry Council Youth Trainee-Project (AV 72) are allocated to
salary range XF-1345 ($892-$2,167) with the hourly equivalent of the first step set
at $5.15 per hour in accordance with the September 1, 1997 Federal minimum wage
rate.
4. An appointing authority may make a limited term appointment of a Private Industry
Council Worker Trainee-Project and Private Industry Council Youth Trainee-
Project at the hourly equivalent of any step in the 31 step salary range.
