HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08051997 - 97-433 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this order on August 5, 1997 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Gerber, Canciamilla, DeSaulnier NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Uilkema ABSTAIN:None SUBJECT:' Amendment to Resolution No. 96/488 ) (Compensation and Benefits for County ) Resolution No: 97/ 433 Officers, Managers and Unrepresented ) Employees from October 1, 1995 to ) September 30, 1998) ) The Board of Supervisors adopted subject Resolution 96/488 on November 19, 1996; AND, The County Human Resources Director proposes that said Resolution be amended to restore the following educational incentive provisions for unrepresented management employees in the District Attorney Investigators Office which have been fixed in previous Resolutions but were omitted in error from Resolution No. 96/488; NOW THEREFORE: The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing Board of the County of Contra Costa and all Districts of which it is the ex-officio governing Board, RESOLVES THAT: Resolution No. 96/488 is amended in part to additionally provide: Part I (INCENTIVES) of Exhibit C 1995 - 1999 Management and Unrepresented Employees Compensation and Benefits Supplement of Resolution No. 96/488 shall have included as new Section E, the following: E. District Attorney Investigator Management Peace Officer Training Program Provisions of Section 17 (Peace Officer Training) of the County Salary Regulations are in effect for incumbents of the classes of District Attorney Lieutenant of Inspectors (6KNB), District Attorney Lieutenant of Inspectors - Welfare Fraud (6KWG) and District Attorney Chief of Inspectors - Exempt (6KD1) who possess the appropriate certificates beyond the minimum qualifications required in their class in the following manner: 1. A permanent career incentive allowance of two and one-half percent (2 Y2%) of monthly base pay shall be awarded to .DA Lieutenant of Inspectors and DA Lieutenant of Inspectors - Welfare Fraud for the possession of an Advanced P.O.S.T certificate. This level of allowance shall be available to DA Chief of Inspectors for possession of a Management and/or Executive P.O.S.T certificate.' 2. A permanent career incentive allowance of five percent (5%) of monthly base pay shall be awarded DA Lieutenant of Inspectors and DA Lieutenant of Inspectors - Welfare Fraud for possession of an Advanced P.O.S.T certificate and an approved baccalaureate degree. This level of allowance shall be available to DA Chief of Inspectors for possession of a Management and/or Executive P.O.S.T certificate and possession of an approved baccalaureate degree. k 3. A permanent career incentive allowance of seven and one-half percent (7 Y2 %) of monthly base pay shall be awarded to DA Lieutenant of Inspectors and DA Lieutenant of Inspectors - Welfare Fraud for the possession of an Advanced P.O.S.T. certificate and possession of an approved Master's degree. This level of allowance shall be available to DA Chief of Inspectors for possession of a Management and/or Executive P.O.S.T certificate and possession of an approved Master's degree. 4.
