HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08121997 - 97-425 33 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this order on August 12, 1997 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Uilkema, Gerber, Canciamilla, and Rogers NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor DeSaulnier ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: RESOLUTION NO. 97/425 In the matter of authorizing personnel actions in the Coordinated Trial Courts necessary to establish and fill exempt management and supervisory positions, cancel vacant merit system positions and abandon obsolete merit and exempt classes. This Resolution has been prepared by the Executive Officer of the Coordinated Trial Courts of Contra Costa County in order to proceed with consolidation of Municipal and Superior Court administrative, management and supervisory staffs. It implements prior resolution dated May 20,1997 entitled "Adoption of Coordinated Trial Courts New Management Classification Plan and Reorganization" adopted by Board establishing a number of new exempt trial court classifications. In addition to the transition of existing staff, the Coordinated Trial Courts is conducting open recruitments for most of the new and vacant management positions. It is anticipated that some open appointments will be made in the near future to positions created by this Resolution. There is no net county cost. 1. Reallocate person and position #C1-118 from Assistant County Clerk to Court Services Administrator B-Exempt (2AD2) effective 9/1/97. Abandon class of Assistant County Clerk (ALB2) effective 9/2/97. 2. Reallocate person and position #C1-36 from Assistant Superior Court Executive Officer to Assistant Executive Officer- Coordinated Trial Courts Exempt (2AB4) effective 9/1/97. Abandon class of Assistant Superior Court Executive Officer (2AB3) effective 9/2/97. 3. Add one position of Assistant Executive Officer- Coordinated Trial Courts- Exempt (2AB4) effective 9/1/97; cancel vacant position #C7-02 in class of County Municipal Court Administrator (JQA1) and abandon class effective 9/2/97. 4. Add one position in class of Court Services Administrator B-Exempt (2AD2) effective 9/1/97; cancel position #C7-74 in class of Court Operations Coordinator II effective 9/2/97. 5. Add one position in class of Court Services Administrator B-Exempt (2AD2) effective 9/1/97. 6. Add one position in class of Court Services Administrator B-Exempt (2AD2) effective 9/1/97; cancel vacant position #C7-15 District Court Manager II (JQD5) and abandon class effective 9/2/97. 7. Add one position in class of Court Services Administrator A-Exempt (2AD2) effective 9/1/97; 8. Reallocate person and position #C7-105 from District Court Manager I effective 9/1/97 to Court Services Administrator A-Exempt (2AD2). Cancel vacant position #C7-101 District Court Manager III (JQD6) and abandon class effective 9/2/97. 10. Add two positions in class of Court Services Manager - Exempt (2AB6) effective 9/1/97. Cancel merit system positions #C1-179, #C1-120 in class of County Clerk Division Chief(JPDA) and abandon class effective 9/2/97. 11. Add one position in class of Court Services Manager - Exempt (2AB6) effective 9/1/97. Cancel position #C7-210 in merit system class of Municipal Court Management Analyst (APS1) and abandon class effective 9/2/97. 12. Reallocate person and position #C1-34 from Superior Court Services Manager III (2AS5) effective 9/1/97 to Court Services Manager - Exempt (2AB6). Abandon class of Superior Court Services Manager III effective 9/2/97. 13. Add one position in class of Court Human Resources Officer - Exempt (2AS9) effective 9/1/97. Cancel vacant position #C7-71 in class of Superior Court Services Manager III- Exempt (2AS5). 14. Add one position in class of Court Staff Development Specialist (2AT1) effective 9/1/97. Cancel vacant position #C7-211 in merit class of Municipal Court Operations and Training Manager (JQN3) and abandon class of Municipal Court Operations and Training Manager effective 9/2/97. 15. Reallocate person and position #C1-50 and vacant position #C1-81 from Superior Court Services Manager I to Court Services Coordinator- Exempt (2AB7) effective 9/1/97. Abandon class of Superior Court Services Manager I (2AS7) and Superior Court Services Manager II (2AS6) effective 9/2/97. 16. Add three positions in class of Court Services Coordinator - Exempt (2AB7) effective 9/1/97. Cancel position #C1-115, #C1-116, #C1-117 in merit class of Court Operations Supervisor (JPH5) and abandon .class of Court Operations Supervisor effective 9/2/97. 17. Add one position in class of Court Services Coordinator- Exempt (2AB7) effective 9/2/97. Cancel position #C7-226 in merit class of Municipal Court Program Assistant (JQS8) and abandon class of Municipal Court Program Assistant effective 9/2/97. 18. Add ten positions in class of Court Services Coordinator - Exempt (2AB7) effective 9/1/97. Cancel positions#C7-182, #C7-62, #C7-64, #C7-157, and #C7-126 in class of Municipal Court Division Supervisor (JPD3). 19. Add one position in class of Court Services Coordinator - Exempt (2AB7) effective 9/1/97.
