coastline to ensure that the environmentalandeconomic value of the coastalzone will6e sustained;

awareness, support andan understanding that protection of the coast is a responsi6ility shared6y
individual citizens, the business community and pu6Cu institutions,and
UMX W EAS, Californians are now adopting 6eaches year round through the California
Coastal Commission'sAdopt-a-Beach program;and
WMWXAS, the Coastal Commission willsponsorCOAS`7WEEX5 in California from
Septem6er 16 through Octo6er 9 and the statewide Cleanup Day on Septem6er 23, 1995.
