HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09121995 - 95-390 IN THE MATTER COMMENDING ] RESOLUTION NO. 95/390 MARY PEREZ FOR HER ACTIONS ] AS THE DEDICATED ORGANIZER ] OF THE TEENS WHO CARE PROGRAM ] WHEREAS, Mary Perez who created the on going Christmas for Everyone program that has been serving the people of Martinez for the past 10 years; and WHEREAS, Mary Perez organized the TEENS WHO CARE PROGRAM in 1994 that painted and landscaped 10 houses in 1994 and provided the same service this year to 19 residences of the less fortunate seniors of Martinez; and WHEREAS, Mary Perez coordinated and organized 300 students and the resources and donations of over 34 local businesses to make this effort a reality; and WHEREAS, Mary Perez is a generous, community minded individual who empowered the youth to making a worthy contribution to the seniors and who received the distinction of being the 1995 MARTINEZ WOMAN OF THE YEAR: and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does honor, recognize and commend MARY PEREZ for her dedication to providing an enhanced quality of life for the seniors and city of Martinez.
