SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION Approve Novation Contract as follows: Number: 24-213-9 Department: Health Services - Alcohol/Drug Abuse/Mental Health Contractor: Desarrollo Familiar, Inc. Term: July 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985 with an automatic six-month extension from June 30, 1985 through December 31, 1985 Payment Limit: $168,350 (July 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985) $ 84,175 (July 1, 1985 through December 30, 1985) Funding: $160,333 Federal NIMH/CMHC Block Grant $ 8,017 County (From Board of Supervisors for cost of living adjustment on 8/21/84) Service: Outpatient Mental Health Services, including Information and Referral, Consultation and Education for West Contra Costa County BACKGROUND This contractor has been providing outpatient mental health services under an automatic extension of FY 83/84 Contract #24-213-7, as amended by Contract X124-213-8 which was approved by the Board on June 12, 1984. Novation Contract $24-213-9 replaces the six-month automatic extension under the prior contract. This contract has been approved as to legal form by County Counsel's Office.
