HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08041987 - 87-472 (2) 0 it IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the ) 1987 County Charity Drive ) RESOLUTION NO. 87/ 472 WHEREAS the United Way of the Bay Area, California Combined Health Agencies and the Environmental Federation of California will soon begin their 1987 fund raising campaigns; and WHEREAS these organizations provide vitally needed community services designed to ease human suffering, improve personal health and protect our environment; and WHEREAS contributions to these organizations will provide for continued efforts to prevent cancer, heart disease, sickle cell disease, and communicable diseases; fight against child abuse, juvenile delinquency and homelessness; and, preserve our environment and prevent air and water pollution; and WHEREAS this Board endorses a single fund raising drive among County employees to allow them the opportunity to donate to these charitable organizations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that Patrick R.
