HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 08181987 - 87-489 ZO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA i IN THE MATTER OF ) i ) / Recognizing the Valuable ) RESOLUTION NO. 87/489 Contributions of ) Bertha Stobb to the ) West Pittsburg Community ) WHEREAS, Bertha Stobb has resided in the West Pittsburg community on and off for 40 years and recently announced her family' s move to Stockton, California; WHEREAS, she has represented her community well as a member of the West Pittsburg Redevelopment Advisory Panel and as a member of the West Pittsburg Traffic Advisory Committee, as chairwoman of the West Pittsburg Neighborhood Beautification Committee and a member of the West Pittsburg Alliance; WHEREAS, Bertha has been an involved participant of many community activities, including Neighborhood Watch, church activities, Cub Scouts, and a CB radio volunteer emergency group. WHEREAS, she has volunteered her time and abilities in assisting the office of Supervisor Tom Torlakson in many neighborhood clean-up projects, the abandoned vehicles abatement program, and in identifying health, zoning and animal control violations for referral to appropriate governmental agencies; WHEREAS, Bertha Stobb represents a model "involved" citizen devoting incredible time, effort and energy to making her community a better place for all to live; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, that well deserved recognition and sincere appreciation is hereby given to the valuable contribution which Mrs. Bertha Stobb has made to the West Pittsburg community and best wishes is extended to the Stobb family as they establish their new home in Stockton; PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on this 18th day of August, 1987 . I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors of the date aforesaid.
