CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of: )
Dedicating the County )
Administration Building ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/485
to Joseph P. McBrien )
WHEREAS Joseph P. (Mac) McBrien served as County
Administrator of Contra Costa County from December 1, 1958
through July 31, 1974; and
WHEREAS Mr. McBrien was known as a most dedicated and
outstanding public servant, a tireless worker who devoted all
his energy and talents to the efficient administration of the
County; and
WHEREAS he is credited with the planning and financing of
the Administration Building, a 12-story structure with advanced
design, which houses many functions of County government
including the Board of Supervisors Chambers and the office of the
County Administrator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA that the Administration
Building is hereby NAMED the McBrien Administration Building in '.
honor of the late Joseph P. McBrien.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on
this 12th day of August, 1986.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of a resolution entered on the minutes of said Board of
Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
