Women are the fastest growing segment in today' s workforce,
comprising 440 of that workforce, and 600 of new workers.
Women in business have a profound impact on the local and
national economy, both in filling and creating new jobs.
The opportunity to develop business and personal resources
and support outside their workplace is crucial to women' s
success.
The Women' s Network of Contra Costa County fulfills these
needs by providing networking opportunities, informational
programs, and leadership roles for women.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
hereby proclaim August 27 , 1986 to be Women' s Network of
Contra Costa County Day; and that the Board commend and
endorse the efforts of the Women' s Network in support of
. businesswomen throughout Contra Costa County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on August 12 , 1986 by a unanimous vote of
the Board members present.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of a resolution entered in the minutes of the Board of
Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
