HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 07081986 - 86-382 l�0tiq IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the matter of Proclaiming ) August 10-16, 1986 as "Concord ) JazziWeek" ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/ 382 Since the summer of 1969 when the first Concord Jazz Festival was held in the Concord Neighborhood Park, the Festival has developed into an important musical event of the Western United States. As a result of its acclaim and success, and the appearances of many internationally renowned jazz musicians, the Festival became the impetus for the concept of a premiere open air performing arts center--the Concord Pavilion. ,This year, the Concord Jazz Festival has expanded its week=long activities to include jazz music events in various locations in Contra Costa County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors, that the week of August 10-16, 1986 be declared "Concord Jazz Week" in Contra Costa County and that all citizens avail themselves of the opportunity to support and attend the concerts. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors on July 8, 1986.
