Congratulating Rossmoor of )
Walnut Creek on Its ) RESOLUTION NO . 84/540
Twentieth Anniversary and )
Commending Rossmoor for )
Its Achievements and Goals )
WHEREAS since 1964 the community of Rossmoor Walnut
Creek has provided housing and opportunities for creative leisure
for its residents within Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS this community has now developed to a popula-
tion of 8 ,000 people who have been attracted to this geographical
area and to the activities and adult community lifestyle found
here; and
WHEREAS this community is now the largest of its kind
in Northern California; and
WHEREAS September 1984 marks the Twentieth Anniversary
of Rossmoor Walnut Creek;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby commend and
congratulate Rossmoor Walnut Creek for its history of achieve-
ment , its growth , and the preeminent place it has reached in its
field .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote of the Board
Members present on this 11th day of September 1984.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and
