SUBJECT: _In the Matter of Public Health Services
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES that :
1 . Findings . Pursuant to its duties and powers , including those under
Healtafety Code Sections 450 and 510 , and as recommended by the
County Health Officer (Assistant Health Services Director) and the County
Administrator, this Board finds that the County Health Officer ' s expenses
in enforcing various statures prescribed by State Officers and Departments ,
relating to the Public Health, which require and/or authorize the Health
Officer to perform specified acts , are not met by fees (if any)
prescribed by the State ; and the Board, therefore , prescribe the fees
below, which will at least partly pay the reasonable expenses of the
Health Officer.
2 . These fees shall be charged to the general public effective
August 29 , 1984 .
3 . Fees .
Program Fee
Immunization Services $2 . 00 per child per visit not to exceed
$ 5 . 00 per family per visit
Waiver. No patient is to be refused these services because of
an inability to pay for them. A notice to this effect
shall be displayed prominently in any clinic which
charges for immunizations under the provisions of this
resolution.
4 . Impoundment of Fees . All revenue received as a result of the
passage of this Resolution, shall be impounded by the Auditor-Controller
pending a determination as to whether Proposition 36 on the November 6 ,
1984 General Election ballot passes , and if so , what impact its passage
has on the passage of this Resolution.
