HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011961 - RES-241 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Abandoning } the Clifton Court Ferry service. RESOLUTION NO ' 241 WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors having for many years jointly operated Clifton Court Ferry with the County of San Joaquin; and WHEREAS, said Ferry service was discontinued on July 1, 1960, for the reason that it was jointly agreed between San Joaquin County and Contra Costa County that said Clifton Court Ferry was too dangerous to operate and that the cost to repair and operate same could not be justified by the service rendered; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that said Clifton Court Ferry service be and the same is hereby ABANDONED. IT IS BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of August, 1961, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas Jahn Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva. NOES: None. ABSENT: None, RESOLUTION NO. 241
