(Assistant County Welfare Director- Exempt)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the
parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions
of the County Ordinance Code):
SECTION I: Section 33-5.387 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to exclude
the class of Assistant County Welfare Director - Exempt from the merit system to
read:
33-5.387. County welfare. (a) The county welfare director is excluded and is
appointed by the board of supervisors.
(b) The assistant county welfare director - exempt is excluded and is
appointed by the county welfare director.
SECTION II: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days
after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the
names of the supervisors voting for and against it in the Contra Costa Times ,
a newspaper published in this County.

AYES: Supervisors Smith, Bishop, DeSaulnier, Torlakson and Powers
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
