HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 09101991 - 91-41 t - ORDINANCE NO. 91-41 (Establishing Fees for Cancellation of Agricultural Preserve Contracts ) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows : SECTION I . SUMMARY. This ordinance establishes fees for services provided by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, the Assessor and the County Counsel ' s Office in connection with cancellation of agricultural preserve contracts . SECTION II . PURPOSE AND AUTHORITY. Pursuant to Government Code section 51287 , the County may impose a fee to recover costs incurred in providing services rendered in connection with cancellation of agricultural preserve contracts . The purpose of this ordinance is to establish and impose fees to recover such costs incurred by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Assessor and County Counsel . SECTION III . FEES . The following fees are hereby established in connection with services rendered by the following departments in connection with. cancellation of agricultural preserve contracts . A. Clerk of the Board of Supervisors . The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors ' fee shall be $30 . 00 for each hour or fraction thereof of staff time provided. B. Assessor. The Assessor' s fee shall be $40 . 00 for each hour or fraction thereof of staff time provided. C . Countv Counsel . The County Counsel ' s fee shall be $90 . 00 for each hour or fraction thereof of staff time provided. SECTION IV. PAYMENT. Prior to the provision of any service by the above departments, a deposit calculated to cover the estimated charge shall be paid to the clerk of the board of supervisors . The actual fee shall be calculated by the clerk following the provision of service. If the fee exceeds the deposit, the difference shall be paid upon the clerk' s demand. If the fee is less than the deposit, the difference shall be refunded. SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE . This ordinance becomes effective thirty days after passage and within fifteen days of passage r shall be published once with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it in the Contra Costa - Times a newspaper published in this County.
