SUBJECT: Replacement of Monitors and Gas Modules in Anesthesia Department of
Contra Costa Regional Medical. Center
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION: AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services
Department, to purchase seven (7) Inte'lliVue MP70 Anesthesia Monitors and.Seven (7)
IntelliVue G5 Gas Modules to be used at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
FISCAL IMPACT: Total cost of the monitors and gas modules (including tax) is $232,671. The
cost is included in the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (Enterprise Fund 1) budget.
BACKGROUND: Current monitors and gas modules are at the end of their life. There is no
longer support available for maintenance and repair of these devices. The units are ancillary to
life support equipment and must be replaced.
