These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County. BACKGROUND: The Community Services Bureau of the Employment & Human Services Department applied for the Asset Building program through a request for proposal (RFP) conducted by the California Department of Community Services and Development. Funds from this project will assist the operation of the Earn It! Keep It! Save It! (EKS) Campaign, helping low-income families claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Approval of this agreement will provide asset building services to approximately 2000 program eligible Contra Costa residents.
