The two-year term for this seat 'has expired and County Connection requested the Board make an appointment for the new two-year term. The appointment opportunity was noticed in the Contra Costa Times. Applications were due in to the Clerk of the Board's office by July 11. The County received one application, from the incumbent representative. Ms.P.J.Dhoot has applied for reappointment to the committee. She has served as Chair for 2008. The County received a letter from the County Connection asking that Ms. Dhoot (formerly Ms. Sekhon)be reappointed. The letter from County Connection is attached, along with Ms. Dhoot's application for reappointment. Since Ms. Dhoot is the only applicant, and County Connection reports they are pleased with her contributions to their Citizens Advisory Committee, staff suggests the Internal Operations Committee recommend the Board of Supervisors reappoint Ms. Dhoot to another two-year term.
