SUBJECT: Amend Contract with Family Stress Center
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to
execute a.Gontract amendment with Family Stress Center, a non-profit corporation, effective
August 1, 2008 to increase the payment limit by$18,000 to a new payment limit of$98,000 with
no change in the term of March 1, 2008 through February 28, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT: .
$98,000: 100% County General Funds
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports all of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card:

High Quality of Life for Children and Families," by providing mental health medical coverage for
children and families in need.
BACKGROUND:
Mental health services to non Med-Cal eligible clients and services not covered by Medi-Cal for
Medi-Cal eligible clients are federally mandated for adults and children involved in the Child
Welfare Systema

provide mental health services to more clients than anticipated in original contract.
