SPECIFIC REQUESTS)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION::
APPROVE and ,AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute contract
amendments with the agencies listed below, effective February 29, 2008, to increase the total payment limit by
$15,472.49 to a new payment limit of$263,472.49, with no change in the term of March 1, 2006 to February 29,
2008, to provide additional court ordered Mental Health Services not anticipated in the original contracts.

FISCAL IMPACT:
$260,351.88: 100% County Funds; All Districts
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports all of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 1) "Children
Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3)
"Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4)"Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and 5)
"Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families."
BACKGROUND:
Mental health services are often ordered by the Court for Children and Families Services (CFS) clients who do not
qualify for Medi-Cal Services. This contractor currently provides mental health services to other CFS clients. The
Department wishes to amend the current contract to allow the contractor to provide court ordered mental health
services which were not included in the original contract. (19-076-4, 19-072-2, 19-076-3, 19-082-2)
