BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) currently operates the Rides to Success Program (RTS)which provides free transportation services to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) participants and their families. Under the current RTS program, only CalWORKs participants are eligible for RTS transportation services. Funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), with County match, will enable EHSD to expand the RTS program to provide free transportation services to other low income families currently served by EHSD. 29-273-0 I
