FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. This project is funded by 48% Flood Control & Water Conservation District, 48% Local Road, and 4%Airport Project Funds. (48%Flood Control & Water Conservation District, 48% Local Road, and 4% Airport Project Funds) (All Districts) Project No.: Various DATE: July 22, 2008 PAGE: 2 REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: An amendment to the Consulting Services Agreement is needed to assist Public Works Department staff in obtaining environmental clearances for various ongoing projects. The Public Works Department wishes to continue working with tills firnn to maintain consistencyfor ongoing projects. This amendment will also allow the Consultant to have a name change on the existing contract. The name listed on .the original contract was Urban Creeks Council of California/Waterways Restoration Institution,and will need to be changed to reflect the new Consultant name as Urban Creeks Council. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the Consulting Services Agreement is not amended, various projects will be delayed in obtaining the required perniits, which in turn will cause delays in their constriction and/or repair.
