BACKGROUND: State and Federal regulations governing the administration and implementation of Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) Programs require that interpreter and translation services are available to meet the needs of non-English speaking clients. Contra Costa County has a diverse population whose primary language is other than English. These languages include Korean, Laotian, Tagalog, Russian, Farsi, Afghani, Vietnamese, Spanish, and others. This Request for Proposal (RFP)will solicit proposals to provide interpretation and translation services to our non-English speaking clients whose language needs cannot be met by County EHSD staff.
