BACKGROUND (Continued):
On October 4th and 5th Zero Tolerance will hold its first professional development conference
to support the strategic goals of the Safe and Bright Futures strategic plan. The conference
will highlight important emerging practices for service providers, public agencies, and
policymakers, as well as provide a venue to increased visibility and sponsorship of the project.
The conference will be implemented by the Safe & Bright Partnership (a collaboration of
public and private agencies). Community Violence Solutions, a non-profit agency dedicated to
ending sexual assault and family violence, is serving as the fiscal agent for the event.
Consequently, the grant funds will actually be deposited with Community Violence Solutions,
for the benefit of the conference.
