SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
ADD two (2) Information Systems Programmer/Analyst III (LPTB-Un-Represented) positions at
salary level B85-1694 ($5605.327-$6813.309) in the Employment and Human Services Department
(EHSD).
FISCAL IMPACT:
The net county monthly cost increase for these additions will be $716.32.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Employment & Human Services requested positions to eliminate contractors and
temporary staff. The Information Systems Programmer/Analysts III will be assigned to support critical
programming projects backlogged in queue and to provide technical support to several third party
systems implemented within the department since 2003.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is. not approved, the Employment & Human Services Department will not be able to
provide the service and maintenance required by the department within the Information Technology
Division, Application Development Unit. This could results in project delays, cost overruns, and
compromised service to the public.
