COSTA DATE: °�rq�:�, Kr COUNTY July 24, 2007 SUBJECT: Position Adjustment Resolution # 20374 C, SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: ADD thirty-three (33 FTE) Clerk Experienced Level (JWXB-Represented) positions at salary level 3RH-0750 ($2629.547-$3262.586) and eleven (11 FTE) Clerk Senior Level (JWXC-Represented) positions at salary level 3XR-1033 ($2905.621-$3710.598) for Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD). FISCAL IMPACT: There will be no additional cost for these positions due to the reduction of $2,358,840.00 in temporary staff costs. BACKGROUND: The Department of Employment & Human Services requested positions to eliminate temporary staff. The Clerk Experienced Level positions will be assigned to different units and the Clerk Senior Level positions will be .assigned to reception and administrative areas in addition to the Child Welfare department. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Employment & Human Services Department will not be ble to provide stable and effective clerical staffing support to different program's operations.
