SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution recognizing John Muir Medical Center—Walnut Creek Campus on
its 20th Anniversary as the County's Level II Trauma Center.

Recommendation:
Adopt Resolution 2006/ recognizing John Muir Medical Center —Walnut Creek Campus on
its 20th anniversary as the County's Level II Trauma Center.
Background:
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. approved a comprehensive Trauma System Plan
for Contra Costa County in December 1985. On June 30, 1986, following a comprehensive
evaluation process, John Muir Medical Center—Walnut Creek Campus began functioning as Contra
Costa County's Level III Trauma Center.
