Box 1955 Lafayette,California 94549 (925)284-1353 Fax: (925)284-4144 BOARD OF TRUSTEES' ANNUAL REPORT July 1, 2005 - June 30, 2006 During this past fiscal year there were 21 regular interments, 12 cremation interments and 7 urns placed into niches at the Lafayette Cemetery plus the pre-need sale of 39 regular sites, 4 cremation sites and 7 niches. In the Alamo Cemetery there were 3 regular interments, 13 cremations and 14 urns placed into the niches plus the pre-need sale of 32 niches were sold in Alamo. The Lafayette Cemetery has only 600 interment sites and 39 niches for sale. The Alamo Cemetery still has 70 above ground niches for sale. No regular interment sites are available in Alamo. Our grounds keepers have been maintaining both cemeteries, as well as the opening/closing for all interments. Sundance Landscaping has been maintaining the lawns, by mowing, blowing the lawns and weed eating, for an annual cost of$12,000. Trugreen Chemlawn has been maintaining the chemical applications of our lawns, for an annual cost of$3,000. Both cemeteries had extensive tree work done at a cost of$9,346. The Lafayette front iron gate was repaired, the cost $1,700. The District purchased a new laptop, harddrive, monitor and software upgrades at a cost of$4,500, because the existing equipment failed. The District pays SDRMA(Special District Risk Management Authority) $7,792, for workers comp for an estimated savings of$3,000-4,000 from our previous carrier. We expect this amount to increase over the next few years. Purchased new tires for the District truck at a cost of$800. As of June 2006 the District has $276,206. in its Endowment Fund and $12,810. in LAIF (Local Agency Investment Fund) Actual annual operating budget was $263,909.
