(Budgeted: 90% CalWORKs (15% County; 85% Federal); 10% Metropolitan Transportation Committee Foundation Grant) (All Districts) FINANCIAL IMPACT,. $774,000: 90% CalWORKs (15% County; 85% Federal); 10% Metropolitan Transportation Committee Foundation Grant CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATF.MFNT* This contract directly supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing"; 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families." RACKGRn Ti ND. MV Transportation, Inc. provides two different transportation services countywide for the Employment and Human Services Department. These services, Children Transportation Project (CTP) and Rides to Success (RTS), provided transportation to Ca1WORKs participants and their children. RTS provides same-day employment related transportation for eligible and enrolled Ca1WORKs participants. CTP delivers door-to-door transportation to and from daycare and school for the infant to high school aged children of CalWORKs participants. The purpose of the two transportation programs is to assist CalWORKs participants and their children to achieve self-sufficiency by removing barriers to employment,job retention, and to achieve independence from the foster care system.
