FISCAL IMPACT: The total annual cost associated with this action will be $15,349 and will be funded from General Fund. The total Net County cost FY2006-07 is $11,512. BACKGROUND: Human Resource Practitioners (HRP) was requested to review the classification and.salary of the Departmental Community and Media Relations Coordinator. As a result of the classification review, HRP concluded and recommended that the duties and responsibilities of the current Departmental Community and Media Relations Coordinator incumbent are more appropriate at the level of the Sheriff's Director of Support Services classification due to a reorganization of the Sheriff's Homeland Security Unit. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Should this request not be granted, the incumbent will not be appropriately classified for duties performed outside of his current classification.
