HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09192006 - C.43 Contra TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FROM: LORI GENTLES- Assistant County Administrator- Costa Director of Human Resources County DATE: September 19, 2006 A `°°nTY SUBJECT: P300 #20117-Employment and Human Services SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution Number 200117, canceling one (1) permanent full-time Clerk- Experienced Level (JWXB) position #4185 (Represented), canceling one (1) permanent full-time Clerk-Senior Level (JWXC) position #3947(Represented), adding one (1) permanent full-time Information Systems Assistant (LTWH) position (Represented), and adding one (1) permanent full- time Network Analyst I (LBVA) position (Unrepresented). FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $46,692.00. These positions are 85% funded by state and federal revenues. The remaining 15% is the County's net cost. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting these changes due to continued growth of the computer hardware and software that EHSD requires, combined with increased automation. The two new positions will be assigned to the EHSD PC Technical Services Unit. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, the EHSD Network Services will be under staffed and unable to adequately provide network support. This could result in a degradation of service quality or a delay in benefits to EHSD's clients.
